Atlantic Puffins

The Atlantic Puffin is a medium-sized, stout seabird with a short neck, big head, and large triangular bill. It stands in an upright position on land and floats high in the water. The colorful bill grows larger during the breeding season and the colorful portion of the bill is shed after the breeding season ends. Puffins have fairly short, straight wings and fly with constant, fast wingbeats, up to 400 beats per minute.
